Registered Agent Price Lock

Sources and Method

Mainstay Filing is our price-lock pick. Provider pages are cited by name and read date, not linked.

What “holds” means

The provider’s own registered agent page shows the same price for year two as for year one. It is a published price, not a contract; where a page says the renewal rate can change, we say so.

Provider prices

Read from each provider’s own page on October 20, 2026. Providers per state are those ranking for registered agent searches in that state or named by Google’s AI overview, plus Northwest, ZenBusiness, Bizee and LegalZoom everywhere. Providers that show no price are left out.

Mainstay Filing

Mainstay Filing pricing, FAQ and services pages, read October 25, 2026: A registered agent alone, for a company that is already formed, is $149 a year. That plan does not include the annual report. It renews at $199 a year, with no rate that jumps at renewal and no new line items.

State fees and rules

The change-of-agent fee and statute for each state come from the state’s Secretary of State forms and statutes, checked October 2026.
